Welcome to Itty Bitty Acres Home Page

Itty Bitty Mini's

Itty Bitty Acres strongly believes in a well-grounded breeding program, producing top-quality miniature donkeys and horses.

Our care-program includes deworming every eight weeks, hoofs trimmed on a regular basis by a licensed farrier, Scheduled vaccinations and check-ups from the Doc. Our Miniatures all have proper shelter and pastures to graze and play in. Every donkey & horse is an individual with a name, not a number, and is treated as part of the family. All of Gods creatures are loved and hugged on a daily basis.

We strongly believe in gelding jacks and only the very best will go on to have a breeding career. Geldings make the better pets. They are easy to handle and train. This also applies to our Stallions.
We don't forget our customers when their check goes into the bank.  We offer support and recommendations, to the best of our ability, on any problems or questions that might arise.

We care about our Miniatures and want their new home to be a place of proper safe care, and where they will be loved as much as they are here at Itty Bitty Acres.  We do this by educating customers, and by never selling a single donkey without proper companion arrangements made before he arrives in his new home, and just "being there" when needed.

We are centrally located on the Beautiful Cumberland Plateau, in Tennessee's golf capital city of Crossville. Approx. 1 hour from Knoxville or Chatanooga.  Nearby is Cumberland Mountain State Park, Lake Tansi, and more golf courses than you can shake a stick at.

Come and visit us at Itty Bitty Acres.  We think you will be touched by what you see.  Maybe you'll find the perfect donkey or horse for you!

Mark 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

Request from the Master:

"Bring me the colt of a donkey,"

was the Master's request.

A young donkey was brought to Jesus to carry him to Jerusalem.

A week later Jesus was ordered crucified.

The little donkey so loved the Lord,

that he wanted to help carry the cross.

But alas, he was pushed away.

The sad little donkey waited to say good-bye until nearly all had left.

As he turned to leave, the shadow of the cross fell upon his shoulders.

And there it has remained,

a tribute to the loyalty and love

of the humblest of God's Creatures.

Care &
Management

Miniature Donkeys require a small amount of grain, good quality hay, a mineral salt block, and fresh, clean water.

Pasture for grazing or a medium grade (no alfalfa) hay and exercise is preferable and should be a consideration. Donkeys should always have shelter from sun, snow, wind, and flies! It should be dry and draft-free. Fencing need only be four feet high, field fence is considered a safe and popular choice. Donkeys can endure cold temperatures as long as they have shelter and are fed properly.

Miniature donkeys are "herd" animals. Remember' a lone donkey is a lonely donkey, it is strongly recommended they not be kept singly but with another Miniature Donkey or other animal as a life-long friend.
