Life Is Too Short - Keep Your Eyes On Jesus
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

As I come upon the half-century mark in my life, I've taken time out to reflect and thank God for His grace, and mercies that He has extended to me over the past years. A man born in sin wrapped in iniquity stamped with a one-way ticket to hell, But God clearly proved His love for me when I was without strength, the slave to sin, and a child of the devil. God before the foundation of the world planned in due time to have Christ die not only for my sins but also for the sins of the world. That whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This temporal and fallen world as we know it is soon to come to an end with its idolatry, pride, lying tongues, hands that shed innocent blood (especially the abortion of innocence babies), wisdom that is foolish, earthly, sensual, and demonic. In addition to its abominable and wicked ways that God hates (Psalms 9:17). So what ought the children of God (those who are born by His Spirit) be doing until the Lord of Lord the Righteous Judge returns to judge the wicked and set up his everlasting kingdom? The scriptures says we ought to be living holy, daily dying to self, taking up our cross (suffering for Christ sake), being about our Father’s business taking the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the world making disciples unto Him. Preaching the whole counsel of God including the dangers of hells fire and repentance towards God, and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ, doing good unto all men especially those of the household of faith “first”, and enduring hardship, trials and tribulation as a good solider. In essence when we “GO” about fulfilling the great commission preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ the unrepentant sinners will be troubled in their spirits for the sins they have committed and sins they are committing against God. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. This is in great contrast to the sugar coated all–inclusive “other” gospel that is being preached in many of the wide gate broad road mega churches and mega churches want-a bees that leaves practicing sinners feeling comfortable in their sins with smiling faces. It ought not be a strange thing said about us who follow Christ “here comes those who turned the neighborhood, the city, and world upside down”. Those who expose sins through the preaching of the word of God, expose false prophets, false teachers, and false doctrines, those who preach Jesus is the only way to eternal life, those who deny themselves for the gospel sake, those who believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore, those who believe the scriptures are the inerrant word of God, those who contend for the faith that was once given to the Saints, and those who are doers of the word and not hearers only. Tomorrow is promised but it is not promised to you and me. If you are reading this article and are not truly saved you are just one heartbeat away from eternal damnation (John 3:36). I urge you to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ before it is too late. For those of us who are saved through the precious blood of the lamb of God, let us continue to die to self daily, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, counting everything but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord, and finish the race that He (GOD) has set before us in order that we may obtain that incorruptible crown (eternal glory). 1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 1Chronicles 29:15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. Bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ,

If I Could Catch a Rainbow Author Unknown
If I could catch a rainbow I would do it just for you And share with you its beauty On the days you're feeling blue If I could build a mountain You call your very own A place to find serenity A place to be alone
If I could take your troubles I would toss them in the sea But all these things I'm finding Are Impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain Or catch a rainbow fair But let me be what I know best A friend that's always there.

If Jesus Came to Your House If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do. Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored Guest, And all the food you'd serve him would be the very best, And you would keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there That serving Him in your home is joy beyond compare. But--when you saw Him coming would you meet Him at the door With arms outstretched in welcome to you heav'nly Visitor? Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in? Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they'd been? Would you turn off the radio--and hope he hadn't heard? And wish you hadn't uttered that last, loud, hasty word? Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out? Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about? And so I wonder--if the Savior spent a day or two with you, Would you go right on doing the thing you always do. Would you sing the songs you always sing and always say? Would life for you continue as it does from day to day? And at the dinner table would you say of word of grace? Would you sing the songs you always sing and read the books you read, And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed? Would you take Him with you everywhere you planned to go? Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so? Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closet friends, Or would you hope they'd stay away until His visit ends? Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on Or would you sigh with great relief when he at last was gone? I might be interesting to know the thing that you would do, If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you. Author Unknown

Talking to a Friend Taking a closer look at our relationship with Jesus' Imagine for a moment that your sitting and talking with your best buddy ( maybe out fishing for the day ). Now think ! for a moment how the conversation would go if your buddy did all the talking and you did all the listening. I mean' never giving you a chance to say one word. Thats how it seems to go in our relationship with our Lord & Savior. We do all the talking (Praying) , and He does all the listening. Believe it or not, just like your fishin' buddy God also has something to say. He waits patiently moment to moment for you to lend Him an ear. He has so much to tell you, and so many things to share with you. Listening to a Friend Are you ready to hear from God ? Are you ready for the truth ?
Start by locating a "Quiet" place where you can clear your head, and avoid any interruptions (Be still).
Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Next, Talk (pray) to God' remembering that He is your best friend. A friend that will never leave nor forsake you. A friend that wants to be apart of every aspect of our lives.
Heb 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Prayer , When talking with God, The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6) provides an example of how God instructs us to pray, and I Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing. ( keep an open line to God, by including Him in everything )
Now that we have established our communication with God, let us not fail in allowing him to contribute to the conversation.
When God talks back Recognizing God in the small stuff
When we seek Gods guidance, we don't have to look far. God speaks to us through our hearts, minds & spirits. He speaks to us on a daily basis through His awesome creation. The problem is that we are busy about our day, and don't take the time to listen. Or perhaps we do listen and dis-regard what God says as being petty or of no great importance. Or maybe we have a hard time facing the truth of what God is saying. Whatever the situation, we need to pay close attention to the prompting from God. What may seem to have little meaning to us, may have a larger meaning to God. What may seem to have no importance to us, may have great importance to Him.
Isa 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
